Hello,
I use NT6 and Patsystem. I must every day close NT6 and restart.
And every day I build my working environment new.
Connect to Patsystem
Open chart, change timeframe, Select Startegy….
Open next Chart, Change Timeframe…..
Open Marketscanner ………
It is possible in the next version that I can save my working environment.
And I can start my working environment with one click.
Thanks
Ralf

Hello Ralf:
Thank you for your post.
Once you have your first chart open and settings to your liking, you can save this as a default template so that when you open any subsequent charts, your settings will appear. To do this, right click on the chart, go to Templates and choose 'Save as Default'. More information can be found here:
http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/HelpGuide/Templates.html
Then, when you are ready to close NinjaTrader at the end of the day, do not close each chart individually. Only click the close button from the Control Center Window. Then, the next time you open NinjaTrader, it will open with all of your charts available upon startup.
Best regards,
Ryan

Thanks

Correct, strategies are not recovered as part of a template at this time.

I had discovered that NT6 will remember the last charts I had open, that is cool butare there any ideas in development to be able to save this state to a file?
Iwork withdifferent 24 hour charts at night and regular market hour charts during US market hours. If I could save "chartbooks" I might easily have three or four different groups of charts I like have to have open at different times.
IE: Futures, forex, stocks, 24 hour futures, etc.
I reallyappreciate that you guys are waiting to release NT 6 until you get it right. Keep up the good work.

Hi Gains,
Workspace management is a feature on our development list for later this year. As a work around, you can create your workspace, shut down NT. This will save your workspace as a file named:
My Documents\NinjaTrader 6\workspaces\Default.xml
You could rename this file, run through the steps for the different workspaces and before starting NT, make a copy of the workspace you want to open, rename it to Default.xml.

Thanks Ray! What a fast response!
You must live on your computer. Is this a forum or instant messenger? :D
That is a great work around for now, thanks for the guidance.
