avg price not updating?

Do I have a setting set wrong. I scaled into a down move and when I took of 1 position with profit my avg price didn't update to show the position covered. This isn't good because it gave me a false entry prive and I thought I exited with profit but when I checked reports I ended with a 1 tick loss.

Can you please send us your strategy parameter setting and stop strategy parameter settings so that I can attempt to reproduce.

Also, a screen shot would be helpful, but not necessary.

Ryan, how could I send you a screen shot, I am already out of both positions?

I was running a 20 tick profit target and a 10 tick stop loss on both. No trailing stop or anything else. It was in sim mode, connected to a real TT feed, so no harm, but this could have been a real problem with real money.

I believe I moved the 20 tick profit on the first one and just took less than 10, but when I covered that position my avg price stayed the same as when I had 2 positions on even though I only had one now.

If you want me to I will try to recreate. Right now I am running the lastest v.5 NT.

Thank you for your reply.

Let's try this...

1. Re-create your strategy and test again (since you are in sim mode).

2. Take a look at your executions tab in the Control Center. This will show you the price at which you scaled in.

Please note that the average entry price will change to reflect the newly scaled in position. If the market is trending in the opposite direction of your position and you scale in, you will need to cover those additional ticks in order to havea profit instead of a loss.
