View Full Version : BUG: Manually entering executions is buggy in NT6

I tried entering a bunch of executions manually in NT6. I could not manage to do this right after several attempts. NT6 did not pair my trades correctly (entry/exit). On my last attempt it used the time of the last execution I entered for all but the first execution and this threw things off completely.

Entering executions manually while connected to Zen-Fire crashes the app.

Last but not least, please consider letting me _import_ executions from a CSV file. This is a huge deal for me as I have to manually enter scores of executions right now just to see NT analyze my trades. I cannot use NT for trading itself yet, see my Usability post for the reason why.

Why did you add executions manualy? Did they not exist or were they just not pairedcorrectly?

I wanted to analyze my X_Trader trades.

Thanks Joel for the clarification. The import executions was not designed for what you are trying to do. Its there to resolve any issues if forsome reason, NT was unable to receive a fill from the broker. Its never been tested for your situation so I can't guarantee the results.

Ray, my complaint is NOT about entering executions while being connected to a broker. This results in a crash in both NT5 and NT6, btw.

My complaint is about NT6 _not_ pairing enters and exits correctly, something that works fine in NT5. I don't think you can say the manual executions facility was not designed for this purpose, after all, what other purpose is there for it?!

Please let me know if a fix will be forthcoming.

Joel,

So that we are talking apples to apples.

When you say its not pairing trades correctly, do you mean on your manually entered executions or, executions generated byNinjaTrader's Sim101 account which I suspect you are trading on.

Thanks

I mean that NT6 is not pairing up my manually entered executions, the way that NT5 does. There's also a bug where for most of about 30 prior executions the time was reset to that of the last execution I entered.

Thanks for clarifying.

Traid pairing should be resolved with next NT6 beta update. Thanks for reporting.

We can't reproduce the crashing when connected to Zen-Fire. Specific reproducible steps would be helpful and appreciated.
