Several problems,

uninstalled ver 5

installed ver 6

instument editor does not let me enter the Tradestation symbol for euro "EC" like on ver 5

Error message "you must set at least one 'Symbol map' value.

does not give any fiel with this name BUG ????

Tradestation hangs with error can not initialize NtDirect.dll

maybe related to not being able to add euro to ninja. hangs on eouro chart

Siglab,

By default, the 6E instrument is already mapped to "EC" and there is no further update required.

You should be able to open an EC chart such as @EC and run the External Data Feed strategy on it.

Please do this. Shut down NT and TS. Delete the following file using windows explorer:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\NTDirectl.dll

Then run the NT6 installer again, and select the repair option that I believe should show up, this will ensure you have the right file loaded. Then try running TS and NT again.

I did what you recomended, but the problem is still there. Is there a new version of the tradestation strategy NTexternalFeed ?

Please retry with a complete new setup:
- terminate NT and TS
- uninstall Nt5 and NT6
- manually remove <windows>system32ntdirect.dll
- manually remove your NT6 DB (<install>dbninjatrader.mdb)
- manually remove trace files <install>traces*.*
- manually remove log files <install>log*.*
- install NT6
- install TS strategies/functions as per docs
- if problem persists: send trace and logs files to "dierk AT ninjatrader.com"

The file you attached only is a single log file. I'd need all files in <install>trace and <install>log.
