Hi again,

I seem to be unable to get simulated data feed running. I think I may have removed the included instruments because all I am getting in the Control Centre under "Name" is the 6E which is what I have been playing with for the past months. I now want to do something in Simulated Data Feed, but can't get any prices up in the DOM, or any bars in a chart. I get the green "Connected - Simulator" message at bottom, and the trend slider, but nothing else.

Looking for what I might need in the instrument manager just makes me confused...:X
Any ideas? thanks,

Antraman

Please check your logs: any funny message in there?

Would that be C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 5\log ?

I can't see anything "funny" in there...don't really know what I'm looking for.

thx,

Control Center -> Tab "Log"

OK, there's a few yellow and orange stripes in there, but nothing to suggest a reason for having non instruments to trade in Simulated Data Feed (if thats what the problem actually is)

Maybe I should just wait for 6?

cheers,
Antraman

Good idea. Public beta will be available within a few days.

How about editing the 6E in the Instrument Manager, is their a Sim Feed Start Price value? If not, that's the issue.

Actually, that was one of the orange or yellow messages...no starting price for 6E or something like that. I'll try that...do I just pick a value and start?

cheers,
Antraman

Yes, any value is fine.
