You can set the sim account value via Tools-->Options, Simulator and set margin amounts on instruments in the Instrument Manager.

So if you have an account value of $5000, and margin req of $2000, try and trade 3 contracts --> Order rejected.

Ray,

Is there a way to set Sim account value outside of initial? it was already valued to 100,000.

To solve thisI tried to get this value down by creating a massive losing position. When entering an order to get flat I got "Order has exceeded available account equity:please reduce order size......"

How can this be right?

Yes, just change the value to any value, 10,000 for example, then press "OK"

Ray,

I got it. I had to:

Tools-->Options, set values

Accounts-->(newname)-->save, for the new Sim account to be created

Thanks,
