Hi,

I recently installed the .NET framework version 2.0, after running 1.xx for a year now with no problems.

I noticed in Add/Remove programs I have both a .NET v1.xx AND v.2.0.
In Windows Explorer I see there is actually 3 folders in .NET...v1.0.x, v1.1.x as well as v2.0.

Can I remove safely the v1.xx's without upsetting v2.0 or NinjaTrader /TWS etc?

thanks,

Antraman

Hi Antraman,

You can have both version 1.1 and 2.0 of the .Net Framework installed on one computer without having any issues.

Just as an FYI, NinjaTrader version 5 will not work with version 2.0 of the .Net Framework, but only with version 1.1

Thanks, just what I needed to know.

Will NT6 work with v2.0?

Antraman,

Yes, the upcoming V6 requires version 2.0 of the .Net Framework.

What enhancements will there be with version 6? Does that mean I can uninstall .net version 1.x and just install version 2.0?

Hi Dan,

Just install version 2.0. There is no need to uninstall version 1.1 since it can run side by side with version 2.0
