I am a bit confused on the stop strategy please help. I have watched the videos 3 times still not totatlly clear. Let's say I enter ER2 at 768.50 long. I want it to roll to BE at 9 ticks, no problem have that figured out in NT. Now I want to complicate things. After the 9 tick BE I additonally want NT to move the stop to plus 4 ticks when price is trading at 769.80. Basically at plus 9 roll to BE, then at plus 13 ticks pull stop to plus 4.Should I leave my plus 9 roll to BE in auto break ( top )and then put my additonal stop strat in auto trail or just move both to auto trail. I don't understand the diff between auto break and auto trail? Can't you do the same thing in auto trail as you can in auto break. Please clarify. TIA

Yes, you can do the same in autotrail as autobreakeven however auto breakeven only triggers once.

You could use

AutoBreakeven Trigger - 9
AuoTrail Trigger - 13
AutoTrail Stop - 9
AutoTrail Frequency - 100 (so that it does not trigger again)

I must be doing something wrong. I kept autobreakeven at 9 as suggested, set 1 step auto trail to the following 13 stop loss, 1000 freq, and 4 profit. That should then bring my stop from BE to plus 4 when it moves 13 ticks or greater, until it hits my target, which is now 18. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Dan,

Can you change your Stop Loss and Profit Trigger. It needs to be:

Profit trigger: 13

Stop Loss: 9

Frequency: 99

Vince, that doesn't make sense after watching the videos? Just to confirm I want to do this 1. trail to BE when it goes 9 ticks. 2. when it goes 13 ticks, move from BE to plus 4 ( past BE) ticks. 3. Eventually go to move proft target of 18 ticks. Please confirm you previous post is correct. I think you misunderstood what I wanted to do.

Dan,

The way I set it up is correct. Let me try to explain.

When you are up 13 ticks, (profit 13) the Stop moves to BE +4 which is the same as setting the Stop Loss at 9 (9 ticks behind where the market is at: 13-9=4)

Hope this makes sense.
