dec 08 es chart doesnt have data past 15:41 for volume and tick charts, but minute charts have the data. deleted database, tried a new chart then found out another user has same issue. so it must be a zen problem?

Wow I was about to post about the exact same problem!

Yesterday volume chart data ends at 15:41 (EST), and the day before right around the same time. I've not noticed it on any data previous to the last two days. I did see the data printed live, but on reload it is missing. First time I've had this problem, anyone else?

I was able to reproduce the same on my end by mapping a tick chart. Unfortunately, on 9/16 and 9/17 there is no historical tick data available for that time period.

I am having the same problems with my tick charts. Minutes work fine, but mine seems has no data after 13:30(mst) yesterday, and today it stops at 12:34(mst). This totally screws up my Pivot Point indicators on tick charts.

p.s. worked fine while watching the charts in real-time, but after saving, exiting and then opening NT back up later, no go.

I am having the same problem as the previous posters. 9/18 data is also incomplete.

Hi,

What happens when you try Tools--> Historical Data--> Reload?

rotwelve

Tools--> Historical Data--> Reload does not fill in missing data. Minute charts are fine it is just the volume charts.

Thanks

My 9/29 ES 12-08 volume & tick data is incomplete.

Gap between 15:23 and 18:01 (EST).

Hello Pepperdog,

I am able to reproduce this gap on my end as well while connected to Zen-Fire. Unfortunately, the historical data server does not have tick data for this period.

after a reload of data, all of es 12-08 gone for 9-30-08. I assume NT notifies zen-fire of this?
thanks

I was able to reproduce this gap on my end as well. Unfortunately, there have been some issues due to higher trading volume for the ES for historical tick data with the historical data server.

Our Development is working on having this fixed.

Having the same issue with ES 12-08. Past usually 3:30 EST there is no ES data or there is a gap until later.

Please try reloading the chart by right clicking in the chart and select "Reload Historical Data". Check if this will fill the gap. If not, please tell me what date the gap displays and what interval is used in the chart.

now time and sales shows every trade (the color) at new LOD and market analyzer not showing all data??????

NinjaTrader_Jason
10-06-2008, 08:46 AM
I do not see any colors in the T&S window. I suggest to right click in the T&S window and set the daily low to a color. Check if the T&S window display a daily low for each incoming trade.

As per the Market Analyzer, I suggest to close you current one and open up a new one. Check if it updates with data.

changing the instrument fixed time and sales, new analyzer didnt work

NinjaTrader_Jason

Unfortunately, "LastClose" is not available with Zen-Fire for the instruments that do not display data for the NetChange. This causes the NetChange column to remain blank.

the market analyzer in the pic i posted is what i've been using for some time now(I didnt change anything) and all the data has been filled in, but not today, will see what it does tomorrow.
thanks

Some data is not showing. I need to know if this problem is common. Is there a better alternative to Zen-Fire?

Unfortunately, the historical server failed to record tick data for the ES the last 90 minutes of yesterday's session.

Our Development team is aware and working to prevent this in the future.

This is a current limitation on the historical tick data store due to the 4X ES volume seen in the past few weeks. We are currently looking into possible remedies.

- This has only affected ES tick data storage

Hi...

I am surprised as ZenFire was supposed to be the best in datafeed and it was never heard that it failed. But ZenFire just managed to complete its HatTrick by erroneous datafeed 3 days in a row and automatically causing atleast me to loose confidence in the relaibility of their datafeed and more than that frustrations as I trade from Australia timing my entries on TickChart without which I feel handicapped sitting all the night in front of my PC doing nothing but watching NT freeze and no data display at all, PC making hell of a noise on TickChart. Needless to say that next day I see only a single bar on tick chart for all that had happend the entire session. Really frustrating. Do something fellows, fix it ASAP

Pepperdog

Same problems here, this is simply unacceptable.

If this issue does not get resolved quickly I will have no choice but to change data providers and/or platform.

NinjaTrader_Jason
10-09-2008, 06:25 AM
We are still investigating and testing a possible fix in regards to this issue.

Due to the extreme high volatility recently with the ES the historical data server did not record all tick data; upon realoding historical data you will see gaps for the last few days.

Laserdan
10-09-2008, 03:10 PM
i would suggest you buy the historical tick data to fill in the gaps. This really is a big problem.

Thanks for considering this.

NinjaTrader_Jason
10-10-2008, 05:52 AM
The issue has been resolved as of yesterday. All historical data will be recorded again. You should also display all historical tick data for yesterday.

Laserdan
10-10-2008, 06:55 AM
even afer refreshing historical data, I still show missing vol chart data for 10-8 from 11:30am ish on the es 12-08 contract.

bobbethgoo
10-10-2008, 06:58 AM
laserdan, its fixed going forward, not sure they can add the data back in for past dates.

NT, thanks for getting this fixed, much appreciated!

NinjaTrader_Jason
10-10-2008, 07:04 AM
Unfortunately, the data gaps from the last days will not be backfilled, since the server did not record it.

It will record all data going forward.
