About the Presenter

Stewart Solaka is a professional derivatives trader, noted media analyst and entrepreneur. Stewart was born and raised in Chicago, IL and first started in the markets at the age of eighteen. His passion for trading and the idea of daily opportunities motivated him to learn and put his studies to the test. 

He began as an independent securities and options trader, where he developed a position sizing and risk management formula that enabled him to succeed and grow in his trading career. Stewart expanded when he joined Merrill Lynch as a proprietary securities trader, working on high frequency trading strategies. Shortly thereafter, he was sought to join an options trading team where he became a group leader in trading and writing complex options strategies. His passion for the markets continued to grow when he entered the futures market as a retail broker at the Chicago Board of Trade.

During this time period, Stewart began a weekly newsletter focusing on technical analysis and trade recommendations sent out to clients and brokers. The newsletter quickly gained a strong following. In addition he provides commentaries for Inside Futures and appeared on Bloomberg TV to discuss the energy markets. In 2010 Stewart joined the Option Monster team to offer analysis on futures markets. He administrated the futures chat room, providing support, trade recommendations, and analysis to clients. In 2011 Stewart branched out independently founding Chicagostock Trading.
